Using Jumpers To Fix A Home Button

by George Lovell | | 0 comments

We often see torn cables on components such as iPhone home buttons, especially after DIY repair.

Time to run some "jumper wires".

By soldering ultra thin (0.02mm) copper wire on to the trace, we can re-establish continuity in the circuit, and thus salvage the component. -

A small layer of green solder mask is then applied and cured under UV light to protect the newly exposed traces from damage and corrosion.

No password? No problem!

If you factory reset an Android device, and don't have access to or have forgotten your Google account/password, you cannot complete device set up...

Until now!

We can bypass FRP (Factory Reset Protection), so that the device can be used again.

"This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced to this device"

We offer a range of software services such as FRP removal, network unlocking and data transfer: https://talkbackcomms.com/pages/repairs

Optimistic & Operating Throughout COVID

by George Lovell | | 0 comments

With lockdown restrictions being eased, and the growth of COVID cases slowing, we're seeing more customers, more cars in our car park and more people out and about generally.

We hope to see more restrictions eased soon, so that we can begin our economic recovery, and people can get back to work and living their lives.
Now is the perfect but also critical time to support your favourite small and local businesses. Most shops and cafes have implemented protective measures, creative solutions, new products and special offers to encourage customers and to continue operating.

As we get things back on track, stay healthy to maintain a strong immune system, and continue to socially distance in public, so that we can minimise the spread of the virus.

We are continuing to operate in the same manner for the time being. We are very grateful that we've been able to continue working and offering our services throughout this pandemic, and we really appreciate just being able to have a chat with our customers!

A Very Cool Phone Camera

by George Lovell | | 0 comments

It's not very often that we get to work on moving parts...

See the video on Instagram

A neat bit of engineering on the Samsung A80 enables us to utilise the higher spec primary camera as a front facing camera.

This means higher quality selfies and video chats, and a larger vertical display.

Observing the increasingly efficient use of space on new devices, we expect more of these ergonomic innovations and features to transform how we use our devices in coming years.

Throwback To The Talkback Wasps

by George Lovell | | 0 comments

Feels good to reflect on the past...

As we dig through our archives of photos and files, we stumble upon the occasional piece of sentimental gold, which brings about deep feelings of nostalgia, and hazy but joyful memories.

Here's a throwback to when we were the main sponsor for Newport speedway team - AKA the Talkback Wasps. Just one of the teams we've been blessed to support over the years.

Can't wait for sports seasons to resume ⚽️🥊🎾🚴‍♂️
