Apple & Carphone Warehouse Closing Stores

by George Lovell | | 0 comments

It's the Apple-ocalypse!☢️ Apple have elected to close down all their stores worldwide for a minimum of 2 weeks in order to protect staff, customers and to help slow down the spread of the virus. Apple have 38 stores across the UK.
The only locations that will remain open are the stores in China, which re-opened recently. This is because new cases are now slowing in China, but continue to grow across the rest of the world.

Most Apple stores as well as many mobile phone and technology outlets are based in busy locations such as shopping centres, which the public are being advised to avoid.

We are fortunate to be based in an isolated unit within a fairly quiet area, meaning we're a low risk location compared to similar stores.

We are open and continuing to provide: > Mobile phone, tablet, laptop repairs & services > Pre-owned & refurbished phone & tablet sales > Recycling service - We buy devices, new, used, working or broken > Accessory sales - Cases, chargers, power banks and other tech essentials

The Dixon group will continue to sell phones out of Currys PC World stores, and online.

2900 redundancies have been made, with 1800 being offered or allocated new roles within the organisaton.
