Warranty Information

Pre-Owned Device Warranty

This product has a 12-month warranty. This warranty is valid from date of purchase for the time period stated above, and is linked to the specific device, specific components and specific customer as identified by our records, as well as any accessories provided with the product.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects, software and hardware faults, covering parts, labour and delivery costs with the following exceptions:

Faults that Talkback Comms deem to have occurred as a result of physical damage, accidental damage, liquid damage, reckless use, misuse of accessories (including non-genuine charging equipment), pre-existing damage/faults or third-party tampering/repair work. Face ID faults. 

We measure the battery capacity, and replace it if required, based on the following criteria: 

Replace Before Sale:
iPhone 5S > 8: 89% or below
iPhone X: 87% or below
iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, 11, SE (2020): 83% or below
iPad: 80% or below

Replace Within 6-month Warranty:
iPhone: 80% or below, or failing to last all day
iPad: 75% or below, or failing to last all day

Saturated liquid contact indicators or other indication of liquid ingress will result in the warranty for this product being void. This applies to all products, including water-resistant devices.

In the event of a warranty claim, return this paperwork with the device to Talkback Comms. The fault will be rectified as soon as possible. If the fault cannot be rectified, we will replace the device, issue a refund, partial refund, or credit where applicable.

If the device requires repair work but is not eligible for repair under warranty, we will provide a quote for the work required.

Refund policy
In the event that the customer wishes to opt for a refund, the product must be returned within 14 days of purchase. In cases where repair or suitable replacement are not possible after this 14-day period, a refund or credit will be issued.
Talkback Comms reserves the right to refuse a refund or grant a partial refund if the warranty is void due to any of the reasons stated.

Data & Security
Failure to remove all personal information and data from the device will void the buyers’ warranty and refund/replacement eligibility and entitlement. Please keep a note of any passcodes or account passwords associated with the device. This includes your Apple ID Password.
This warranty policy runs in accordance with your statutory rights.
