Portishead In Bloom
Talkback Comms are proud sponsors of Portishead in Bloom; part of Europes largest horticultural campaign; Britain in Bloom. Portishead in Bloom is responsible for all the planting, maintenance and stunning design of all the flowerbeds and flower baskets around Portishead.
Portishead in Bloom has entered South West in Bloom every year since 1996, and has won 13 Gold Awards! The organisation is also responsible for a lot of local nature conservation campaigns and events such as the Open Gardens Weekend.
Portishead In Bloom is run entirely by volunteers. It is their hard work that makes Portishead such a visually incredible town and pleasant place to live or visit.
We're supporters of anything that makes our community stronger. You can find out more about Portishead in Bloom, their events and how to get involved here.
Paco Castagna Racing
Speedway has always been an integral part of the business. It started with premier league team, the Newport Wasps (aka the Talkback Wasps) back in the 90’s, and then later with the Reading Racers. Having established connections and built sponsorship deals with these teams, we were fortunate enough to begin working with riders such as Grand Prix legend Leigh Adams, Reading Captain & current Grand Prix Race Director Phil Morris and 12x Italian Champion Amando Castagna (Paco’s Dad).
Looking to follow in his father’s footsteps, Paco is a young, up and coming speedway talent, born in Arzignano, Italy, in 1994. He currently races for Birmingham in the English Championship, and is having a great season in which he's been one of the teams top scorers in their pursuit to win the league. Paco is 4 times under 21 Italian champion, 2 times Italian champion (currently going for a 3rd), and has represented Italy in the prestigious Speedway of Nations.
We share our updates with Paco on our Facebook & Twitter pages.

If you’re local to us, then we recommend you go and support our other local teams too: Somerset Rebels & Swindon Robins.
Great Ormond Street Hospital
We collect money for and donate to Great Ormand Street Hospital, an infamous paediatric treatment and research centre in central London. Since its formation in 1852, the hospital has been dedicated to children’s healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses. Children that are diagnosed with a serious or terminal illness are often referred to Great Ormand Street Hospital for care.
Instead of charging our local customers for assistance and advice, we ask that they instead make a donation to the Great Ormand Street Hospital, and have a collection pot which we try to fill as often as possible! It is our aim to raise £1000 for the charity in-store, in hope that we can do our bit for those that need it most.
You can find out more about the hospital and information on how to donate here.
